BTBATS.ZIP - Sample BinkleyTerm/OverMail batch and config files.
This archive contains sample setup information for someone wishing to
run the BinkleyTerm mailer with OverMail.
Included:
BINKLEY.BAT - Batch file to run Binkley
BINKLEY.CFG - Binkley configuration file
BINKLEY.EVT - Binkley event file
MAIL.BAT - Mail handling batch file
SPAWNBBS.BAT - BBS exectuting batch file
AREAS.BBS - Sample echomail area file for QMail
QM.CFG - QMail configuration file
QM_ROUTE.CFG - QMail routing control file
OVERMAIL.CFG - OverMail configuration file
This setup is for BinkleyTerm v2.30, and assumes that you have Binkley
and RBBS-PC setup on the D: drive. Two echomail areas are configured,
called 4SALE and SYSOP, and one matrix area, called MATRIX. QMail
handles the echomail and netmail processing. The setup assumes the
existence of a disk directory for each of the echomail areas, called
D:\NETMAIL\4SALE and D:\NETMAIL\SYSOP, and a directory for the netmail
area, called D:\NETMAIL\MATRIX. The Binkley inbound and outbound
directories are called D:\NETMAIL\INBOUND and D:\NETMAIL\OUTBOUND,
respectively.
In this configuration, Binkley is set up with four events. One is for
ZMH, and doesn't allow callers. The other events are there to cause
mail to be processed several times a day. Mail is also processed
whenever a packet is received from another system. Messages are packed
and renumbered once a day, right after ZMH.
When mail is received, Binkley sends the packets into
D:\NETMAIL\INBOUND. Then QMail unpacks echomail and netmail into one of
the D:\NETMAIL directories. These directories are scanned by F2RC and
imported as required. New messages entered into a RBBS-PC message base
will be exported to one of these directories and processed by QMail.
Good luck!
